Vista Home Premium. Unable to reinstall game software
Ive done the installation about half a year ago and the program worked fine. Then a few problems
occured, and the manufcturer told me to reinstall. that's what I tried.The message is: 1207 Error.
Unable to write game data into the registration data base. Ask your system administrator.
Windows  help told me the following:

If the program installs but does not run, right-click the program icon, click Properties,
click the Compatibility tab, select the Run this program as an administrator check box,
 and then try to run the program.
I've tried to do as described, I see the box but can't check it.Nothing happens. Now what?

Hi, Welcome to the board.

Does the regsitry error occurs at the installation or at the execution of the program? If it does on installation try run the setup with administrator privileges via right click and "run as Administrator".

the problem occurs after "installation successful"when Itry to run the program.But, as I've already told, Ican't check the box run program as administrator.

Hi,

try to uninstall the game software again, reboot your computer, clean your registry with the program "ccleaner" for example and try to install the game software once again.

i think some old registry-entries of the game software are left on your computer and occurs the problem.

Nearly as expected;Nothing helps;have tried 3 different freeware registry cleaners;the problem is still the same

Why you cannot check it? Is it grey? Make a screenshot, please.

You can simply append it under "Erweiterte Optionen..."

for making a screenshot u can use the snipping tool ist included in the System of Vista.. so u can make a small sice shot...

und warum haben wir uns da jetzt so einen mit der Englischen Sprache abgebrochen...

man könnte ja fast sagen das is nen Mysteri Call... um zu schauen ob die Qualität stimmt.

hab halt gedacht, Geschäftssprache sei hier Englisch. Die Beiträge, die ich gelesen habe, waren alle auf Englisch. Ich selbst bin Deutscher. Jetzt brauch ich nur noch einen brauchbaren Tipp.

also mit dem eigenen Deinstallationsprogram geht es nicht ?? auch nicht mit dem in der Systemsteuerung liegendem SOFTWARE TOOL von Vista ???
