Hallo!
Ich hab hier ein Notebook (HP Pavilion dv6-1016ez)  von einem Freund, und ich soll ihm Virtual PC und XP Mode auf Win7 aufspielen. Ich hab also alles heruntergeladen, dann das Virtual PC Update gemacht und wollte dann Win XP Mode aktivieren. Laut einem kleinen Tool namens "SecurAble" aber jedoch, heißt es "Hardware Virtualization Locked off". Man kann dann auch noch auf eine Erklärung klicken die wie folgt lautet:

Virtualization Locked Off

This processor's advanced hardware support for virtualization has been disabled and "locked off" by some external influence - most likely by this system's BIOS as the system was booting. Since enabling hardware virtualization will allow
 faster and more secure virtual machines and their hosting operating systems to run at 100% full speed, you may wish to poke around in your system's BIOS to see whether you're able to find any references to "hardware virtualization" or "VMX", etc.

Jetzt denk ich mir man kann die irgendwie einschalten. Allerdings hab ich im BIOS nicht wirklich was dazu gefunden. Hat jemand ne Ahnung wie ich das machen kann?

Windows 7 Ultimate
2 GHz Intel Core2 Duo-Prozessor T6400
4096 MB RAM

Ok..bin mehr oder weniger selber draufgekommen:

Der Prozessor dieses Notebooks ünterstützt eindeutig die Hardware Virtualization nicht. Das hat mir auch das Diagnosetool von Microsoft klar mitgeteilt.

Allerdings läuft die Anwendung (die zuerst nicht ging) auch ohne Virtual PC, somit bin ich zufrieden.

Der Prozessor dieses Notebooks ünterstützt eindeutig die Hardware Virtualization nicht. Das hat mir auch das Diagnosetool von Microsoft klar mitgeteilt.

Das hätte man auch vorher mit CPU-Z klären können.

Lade dir doch VMWare Player oder Sun VirtualBox...
Die sind nicht zwingend auf HW-Virtualisierung angewiesen.
