Man könnte mal das Tool TweakUAC (Freeware) ausprobieren, das die lästigen Rückfragen der UAC abschaltet, die UAC aber ansonsten unangetastet läßt.

Das geht mit der Notfall-BootCD von DriveImage, die in DOS startet. Überhaupt kein Problem! Notfalls hat, glaube ich, auch die Hiren's Boot-CD eine DriveImage-Restaurierungsfunktion an Bord.

Antwort habe ich auch keine. Aber ich würde nach den Updates meinen DSL-Zugang resetten und die norwendigen Daten neu aufzusetzen versuchen...

Das Problem scheint mir nicht an Vista, sondern am DSL-Zugang zu liegen. Ich habe aber keine sichere Ahnung.

Wußtet Ihr schon daß Ihr mit der Fritz!Box 7170 (7270 u. a.) einen wunderbaren Musik-Server im Haus habt, wenn Ihr eine externe Festplatte an den USB-Anschluß hängt und diese mit Musik füllt? Ihr könnt diese Musik dann für alle uPNP-Clients (Digital Media Adapter - DMA) nutzen, die im Intranet existieren. Das funktioniert z. B. sehr gut für solche Adapter wie das "Showcenter 200" von Pinnacle (getestet), ggf. auch für das neuere "Showcenter 250 HD" oder auch für andere uPNP-fähige Adapter wie den KISS oder FRITZ! Media (alle ungetestet). Vgl.

Videos und Bilder werden (bisher) allerdings nicht gestreamt, nur Musik!

Einige kleine Wermutstropfen gibt es:
1. Mit VBR-codierten MP3s kommt die Fritz!Box nur bedingt zurecht. Hier ermittelt die Fritz!Box immer viel zu lange Laufzeiten des Stücks, was dazu führt, daß man meistens minutenlang warten muß, bis das nächste Stück abgespielt wird. Dem kann man abhelfen, wenn man die MP3s mit konstanten Bitraten (CBR) kodiert. Dann klappt auch das wunderbar.
2. Die USB-Festplatte sollte eine eigene Stromversorgung haben. Die Fritz!Box-USB-Stromversorgung soll angeblich zu wünschen übrig lassen...

Ihr hängt also eine musikalische Festplatte an die Fritz!Box und der Sound steht Euch mit einem DMA überall im Haus zur Verfügung.

Ich würde mir an Deiner Stelle andere Programme zulegen. Splitten kann auch WinRar. Für Video gibt es sehr gute Programme, die von den Herstellern auch sehr gut gepflegt werden (z. B. von TMpgEnc etc.).

So einfach, wie ReaperX meint, wird das mit Sicherheit nicht funktionieren! Das könnte höchstens für ein völlig neu installiertes System funktionieren, aber nich für ein eingerichtetes. Wenn Du nämlich die Variable "%Programfiles%" neu definierst, verweisen die bereits existenten Registry-Einträge auf den neuen Programme-Pfad, also auf einen falschen Pfad, auf dem die Dateien nämlich nicht installiert und damit nicht zu finden sind.

Mit "SET" im cmd-Fenster wird das auch nicht funktionieren. Das gilt soweit ich weiß, nur für die laufende cmd-Sitzung. Dafür wären andere Autoexec-files zuständig, z. B. vielleicht autoexec.bat. Wie das unter Vista genau geht, darüber müßtest Du Dich informieren.

Man könnte auch daran denken, die Variable in den "erweiterten Systemeinstellungen" zu verändern. Ob Windows das zuläßt, weiß ich nicht.

Man müßte auch erst mal über den Sinn Deines Vorhabens diskutieren. Was soll das ganze bringen? Ich glaube nicht viel. Windows und Programme gehören zusammen auf eine Partition.

So würde es gehen (wenn es sinnvoll wäre und wohl nur bei neu aufgesetztem Vista):

Meinst Du den Lizenzcode? Hast Du das Original mit dem Code nicht mehr?

Du könntest Dir ja die Testversion herunterladen, dann kommst Du vielleicht an Deinen "Code". Ansonsten hilft Dir sicher auch Acronis gerne weiter...

Außerdem kannst Du doch auch mit der Notfall-BootCD starten, die Du doch sicher aus Acronis heraus angelegt hast, oder nicht?
